Study programs

Udmurt State University offers Bachelor's, Master's, Specialist's and Doctoral study programs for international students.

All international applicants are required to take entrance exams except for those recommended by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

Language of instruction

The language of instruction at Udmurt State University is Russian in all degree programmes. The entry level of Russian is B1-B2. To get enrolled in a degree program international applicants that do not possess the sufficient Russian language level are recommended to take a one-year course of the Russian language.

Financial issues

International degree students are required to pay for their tuition at UdSU. The tuition fee varies depending on a study programme. However, in some cases foreign applicants can get tuition fee waiver:

  1. If an applicant is recommended for admission by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation (from countries which have quotas allocated for the current academic year, including fellow citizens living abroad);

  2. If an applicant is a citizen of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, or Belarus;

  3. If an applicant is a Russian immigrant or a close relative of a Russian immigrant and has a document which certifies that he/she officially participates in the State programme aimed at helping former citizens of the USSR and Russian Federation to immigrate back to Russia.

In caseyou are enrolledor invitedto UdSU, please, remember thatyou should comeup tothe International and Public Relations Office (bld. 1, room 238) within three days upon your arrivalto Izhevsk (it is necessary to make sure you followthe Migration Registration Rules in due order), our officers will assist your residence registration.
