Eastern Regional Congress "Social and Environmental Directions in the European Dimension"

As often we live in stereotypes and assumptions. Partly our trip to Romania, and preliminary to Poland, we have dispelled even a small share. The purpose of a trip was Eastern Regional Congress «Social and Environmental Directions in the European Dimension» devoted in it to year to questions of preservation of the environment, yes, the Europe continues to grow in this direction, it is no wonder, that this action has been devoted to the given problematics. I believed, Romania-it one of embodiments of ideas of EU the amendment on a level of development of the country, has appeared, still is worse, for example, in the country very few people knows English language though it is the European country, Russian roubles you will not change in one bank of capital of Romania Bucharest, not speaking already and about periphery. However, our discontent has been brightened up by pleasure of dialogue with students of all Europe, on the Congress which passed in Sinaia, have been presented: Germany, Poland, Austria, Serbia, Italy, Spain, directly Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, the Netherlands, Greece and it is far not the full list of all colleagues-geographers. Russia has been presented by 4 persons, three from which inhabitants of well-known Izhevsk: Petukhova Larisa Nikolaevna, Kajsina Ekaterina, Uvarov Andrey and I am, Kirillova Ayno. Work has been divided, as it is accepted on similar actions, on workshops, each of which had the subjects, for example, that in which I could participate is connected with tourist subjects, accordingly, and the report consisted of the message on development of tourism in Russia. Also we went on excursion to East Carpathians where, having collected rocks, have decided to fill up a collection of our geological museum. By the way, speaking, all the same Russia consider a little as the isolated and wild country, met, certainly, and aficionados of our Native land, during any free moment suitable to us any questions or wishes to execute personally for them russian song «Kalinka», but there were also those who has figuratively nicknamed us the state lagging behind in development. Still, the country in the recent past was «the closed» country, and we have what results by today, already a fantasy, and let some Europeans consider, that at us on streets bears run and everyone go in sports suits, we develop. Comparison us with Romania was indicative for some understanding of all subtleties and we are grateful for it Eastern Regional Congress and organization EGEA, and also our faculty on behalf of dean Rysina I.I.
