The department of multimedia and internet technologies was founded 1998.
Yearly the department trains about 500 students from different university faculties among of then the mathematics faculty, the institute of foreign languages and literature, the faculty of professional foreign language etc.
There are following training courses at the department:
- «Multimedia» (36 hours)
- «Introduction in multimedia and internet» (36 hours)
- «Informatics» (36 hours)
- «Basics of computer literacy» (36 hours)
- «Multimedia and virtual reality» (144 hours)
- «Multimedia and internet technologies in reclame»
On the courses «Informatics» and «Basis of computer literacy» students are taught using Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint), on the courses «Multimedia» and «Introduction in multimedia and internet» — basics of computer graphics, animation, video-editing using Adobe Photoshop, Image Ready, CorelDraw, Adobe Premiere. The course «Multimedia and virtual reality» is taught on the maths faculty, students learn more profound graphic design, web-graphics, video-editing, 3-d modeling, VRML.
